Courier & AirMail Options

We offer a range of international and domestic Courier Services for speedy and efficient delivery as well as the budget option of the much slower Standard AirMail.

Couriers

Apart from the consistent tracking and reliable service you expect from couriers, you'll also see much faster entry into countries as they quickly handle their own Customs entry, unlike AirMail which is processed by Customs themselves.

One issue with couriers is their unrealistic estimated timeframes. Those timeframes on our website are automatically generated from the couriers and unfortunately, we can't change that.

Aramex and Fastway do pickups the day that we have them packaged and their tracking starts from pickup.UPS uses a third-party courier to uplift to Sydney UPS Distribution Centre. The pickups are daily at lunchtime AEST. It takes 2 -3 business days before the orders are scanned in Sydney and this is when you will first see actual movement in you tracking. After your shipment leaves Australia, you'll find it will get to you quite quickly. 

Most other couriers are next day pickups and like UPS generally only show tracking movement once they are scanned in Sydney while they are getting ready for departure.

Occasionally, we find that a courier that you've selected, won't ship to your address when we start processing your order. In this case we will select a courier of similar value that services your address.

Standard AirMail - Estimated international delivery speeds

Standard Airmail uses Australia Post to get your package to Sydney where it is handed over to a third party for the freight to your country. At the handover point, we don't see any tracking until your Customs Service hands the package over to your countries mail service.

What happens typically, is the third party delivers the package to your countries International Freight Arrivals.

Fun Fact: While actually being within your country's border, until it has been cleared by customs, your package is officially in an international zone.

After arrival, most countries place your package into Quarantine as a measure to prevent their Customs staff from contracting the Coronavirus while clearing foreign goods. This quarantine period depends on your country but it could be just days and in some cases a number of weeks.

Covid-19: 

Due to the worldwide effects that Covid-19 has had on shipping times these guidelines may differ. Recently, courier pick-ups have taken 2 to 4 days due to Covid-19 measures. For this reason we cannot guarantee any quoted delivery time-frame.
The estimated shipping times generated are optimistic to say the least. Most courier shipments that quote around 2 to 5 business days are taking at least twice as long due to Covid-19 slowdowns. Couriers quoting 6+ days tend to not be as overstated though in the current pandemic, you still need to be prepared for around a doubling of the delivery time-frames.

If 30 days have gone by since you received your purchase, then unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. 
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days. 
Any non-refundable merchant fees (such as PayPal fees) together with a small administrative fee will be taken away from the total before the refund is processed.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable) such as items with obvious signs of use, any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.

Gifts

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he/she will find out about your return.

Shipping 
We send your purchase with tracked delivery. Typically once in your country it is your countries postal service that delivers your purchase to your address. You will likely find that the postal service of your country will give you more detailed information about your package. Use the supplied tracking number on your postal services tracking webpage for more details. If you are not available to sign for your delivery then you will need to make arrangements to pick it up.

Before shipping back your return you must contact us at the email address customerservice@scottymakesstuff.com to receive a Return Authorisation (RA) number. To then return your product, mark the received RA number on the address label (e.g. RA#34). Your return mail should look similar to below but instead with the RA number we give you:

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of our original shipping will be deducted from your refund.

But we didn’t rest there. We wanted to take it even further with even greater control so that fine-tuning your rig is easier than ever. 

We've made it more compact while increasing its muscle power. The frame is much stronger, and the new custom spring together with a carbon-fibre bolt runner doubles the maximum payload up to 500grams (17.6oz) giving you a recommended minimum to maximum payload for best smoothing from 130grams (4.6oz) to 350grams (12.3oz). This puts it well into the point and shoot territory. What this equates to is a far larger iso-elastic range for much more silky-smooth goodness.

Note: We've been hearing feedback from customers, new to using a 4th axis, who are getting exceptional results using the Pro 2 with a 100g and two 10g counterweights. We tested this combination with the Full Cased Osmo Pocket and we agree with them that it's even easier to get good results!

Let’s have a look at why we think you’ll find this so indispensable. 

Firstly, we’ve almost completely done away with making adjustments with the Allen key. This was ok for the Pocket Micro as once it was set you rarely needed to make adjustments. But if you’re going between say a GoPro Hero 8 and your Osmo Pocket we’ve now included adjustment knobs to make it quick and easy for you. Adjust the spring tension here and then adjust the bounce damping here.

We’ve also added a two-part fully articulated handle that allows you to shoot in any number of positions from the single handle to the upright balanced position to the smoothest shooting of the inverted mode. With a 360 cam, you can capture those

epic shots while at the same time stabilizing the Z axis. Or, just use it as a stabilized selfie stick to give your Pocket a wider angle for your vlogging.

We've got plenty of experience making 4th Axis or Z-Axis stabilizers for bigger rigs so we knew we could come up with a great solution that not only worked great but was also still compact. After a lot of prototypes, we've been able to craft a solution that exceeded all our expectations and we're so excited to share it with you! 

We are the innovators

Common Z-Axis stabilizers have a problem. When speeding up or slowing down, those z-axes can bounce uncontrollably, making parts of the footage unusable. Back when we started there were no handheld Z-Axis stabilizers with bounce damping and as such, they had a bad rep among the pros. That's when we designed our proprietary fluid damping system that gave us the edge in effective smoothing.


All our stabilizers (even including our Micro Pro 2 -  4th Axis) have adjustable bounce damping built-in. This takes a little longer to get used to than spring only stabilizers but once you get the hang of things you'll find the results are far superior.
